On Friday, December 20, 2024, members of The Keola Show visited Raising Cane’s at University and South King for a check presentation to Aloha United Way following the Raising Holiday Cheer virtual toy drive where listeners of Pacific Media Group radio stations 102.7 Da Bomb, 94.7 KUMU, HI93.1 and 105.9 The Wave FM contributed over $22,000 in donations (at print) and Raising Cane’s matched $10,000.
In addition to the virtual toy drive, The Keola Show collected stories from or about families who need a helping hand. We met some of those people at the check presentation – from Kelsey of Kapolei with her 3 children whose stay in a shelter was extended following her own parents’ passing; to Chentelle who nominated her sister and single-mother Shaunessy, who took care of their mother until her passing earlier this year. Shaunessy will receive a car from our partner JDM Hawaii. You can listen to replays of these stories here.
